Episode 4 opens with Itsumi catching Kai mid-call. "Who are you talking to?" "No one." Then the whole venue drops into darkness. A flashlight beam slides over her lace stockings as an announcement puts the show on hold for ten minutes. Itsumi isn't one to waste a gift like that: "Then the afterparty starts now."

They kiss their way down the hotel corridor, the keycard clicks, and room 1207 opens onto the San Francisco skyline. No pretext needed this time. "Zipper?" Kai knows the drill. The satin slips from her shoulders, she pulls him against the window, then onto the desk, and the heat climbs fast. Until his eyes catch her laptop. On the screen sits a horned avatar and a name he knows better than his own. The micro-story ends on one shaky word: "...Mochi?" Few cliffhangers bite this hard.
