I Belong to a Witch — Episode 5: Come for Me at Midnight

Episode 5 closes I Belong to a Witch with Liv in the doorway and Darius planting himself in front of Morgana. "Take my years. As many as you need." Morgana is ready to go with Liv, just not with him watching. But Liv has waited decades for exactly this: for Morgana to love someone the way Liv loved the coven Morgana burned. Her verdict is not death. It is payback.

There is no pretty ending in his arms. Morgana will grow old beside Darius, and only then will Liv come for her. The fire returns, and so does Morgana. Midnight strikes, he is still breathing, and she picks up right where they left off. One year later there is a cake covered in roses, a party of three if you count Duke, and a single wish: let her grow old with me, slowly. It is a micro-story with a sting, and a sweet one.
